“You’re one of us! We need you.” HBO & DC have revealed one more official trailer for the next season of the Peacemaker series, a wild & crazy red band trailer featuring some of the stuff they can’t usually show us. Peacemaker is James Gunn’s highly successful DC spin-off series that launched in 2022. This bonkers next season picks right up again right where the first left off – the patriotic mercenary Chris Smith struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt. This trailer also finally makes the connection between Gunn’s Superman movie and this series. He also discovers “parallel worlds” by entering a dimensional portal with some device, and prefers the one where the people in it actually like him. The main Season 2 cast includes John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick returning. They’re joined by Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, Tim Meadows, as well as Nhut Le playing Rip Jagger aka “Judomaster”. This looks better than the first season.
