Casting Points in Age of Wonders 4
There are two types of Spells in Age of Wonders 4, World Map Spells in which you cast spells for your troops and the betterment of your city, and Combat Spells that you cast during combat with enemies. Now, with these two main types of spells, the game has two different Casting Points, World Map Casting Points which are mainly used for World Map Spells, and Combat Casting Points which are used for Combat Spells.
Both of the types of Casting Points are limited and you will only be able to cast a certain spell in a turn for which you have the required amount of Casting Points and Mana. You will not be able to spam spells due to the design of the fight. You will have to wait for your turn and then choose the next spell strategically. However, you do get some of the Casting Points back after every single turn so that you can keep on using the regular spells on the enemies.
How to Cast Spells in Age of Wonders 4
In order to cast spells, you will be needing Mana and Casting Points of equal measure. So, once you have engaged in a battle, you need to open the Spells List to see all of the learned spells. Each of the spells will cost a certain amount of Mana and Casting Points which can be seen in front of the spell. To cast the spell, you just need to select the spell you wish to cast and then you will be able to choose the place where you want to cast it.
If you don’t have enough Mana or Casting Points, you will not be able to cast the Spells. On the world map, different spells target different things. Summoning Spells target different Hex Tiles, Army Spells target different armies, Terraforming Spells target the province, and City Spells target cities. So, you will have to look for the spell that you need to cast.
