“Does the truth exist if no one believes it?” Unfortunately, a good question these days… Hulu has debuted the official trailer for their next true crime series out this summer titled The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox. This is a fictional cinematic version of the entire story of American Amanda Knox, who was wrongly imprisoned for murder in Italy. Everyone knows her story as it was big in the media for many years – after being acquitted, Knox also wrote her memoir titled “Waiting to Be Heard” then Netflix released a doc about her called simply Amanda Knox. “Inspired by the story of how Amanda Knox was wrongfully convicted for the tragic murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free.” Grace Van Patten stars in this series created by “This Is Us” writer KJ Steinberg. The cast also features Sharon Horgan, John Hoogenakker, Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico, & Roberta Mattei. It’s already set for a streaming debut in August, with new episodes out each week.
