Grow a Garden Zen Tree – Stages and Rewards!

Channel your inner Zen and use it to grow the Grow a Garden Zen Tree! This guide covers the stages of this quest, explaining how it all works, including each possible growth reward and why the tree is important when buying from the Tanuki NPCs’ store.

Grow a Garden Zen Tree

The Zen Tree is a long questline added during the Zen Update. In short, the player must exchange tranquil mutated crops to the Zen Channeller NPC in the centre of the map to help grow the tree.

In exchange for their help, the Zen Channeller NPC will award players with event-exclusive prizes during each stage of the tree’s growth. Alongside this, the Tanuki NPC unlocks certain shop wares at different stages of the Zen Tree, including:

Zenflare Seed – First Stage growthZen Crate – Second Stage growthSoft Sunshine Seed – Third Stage growthKoi Pet – Fourth Stage growthZen Gnome Crate – Fifth Stage growthSpiked Mango Seed – Sixth Stage growthPet Shard Tranquill – Seventh Stage growth

To get Tranquill crops, you need to join the Zen Event, which happens every hour, on the hour. For 10 minutes, crops in your garden will randomly mutate with Tranquill. Pluck these and hand them to the Channeller to grow the tree.
