“Just stick to lip reading. Leave the detection to us.” BritBox has revealed the official US trailer for a British streaming series titled Code of Silence, a crime thriller from ITVX. Created by writer Catherine Moulton, Code of Silence just launched in the UK in May – it’ll be streaming on BritBox in the US later this month. Alison Woods, a Deaf caterer, works to support her mother, and herself by working at a canteen at a police station. Alison is asked by the police to lip-read conversations with bad criminals – she helps them track a criminal gang plotting a jewellery heist. Alison starts to fall for one of the suspects when she begins to work undercover, but will not abandon the investigation. Starring Rose Ayling-Ellis as Alison, Kieron Moore as Liam, with Charlotte Ritchie, Andrew Buchan, Nathan Armarkwei Laryea, Joe Absolom, and Beth Goddard.
