“If we do nothing, everything on this planet will go extinct.” “You’ll find a solution.” “You are my solution.” Amazon MGM Studios + Warner Bros have revealed the first official trailer for Project Hail Mary, the epic sci-fi space adventure movie from filmmakers Phil Lord & Chris Miller. This is the first new movie they’ve directed since making 22 Jump Street in 2014, along with “The Afterparty” series as well. Adapted from Andy Weir’s acclaimed novel of the same name, this is the story of an astronaut who tries to save Earth while alone in outer space. The movie stars Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, who wakes up on a spacecraft at Tau Ceti with no memory of himself or his mission. But he figures out he was sent here to help save Earth and has to figure it out what to do entirely on his own. Co-starring Sandra Hüller as Eva Stratt, Ryland’s superior, and Milana Vayntrub as Olesya Ilyukhina, his deceased Russian crewmate. This trailer gives away a TON of the movie, including a major reveal at the end. Looks like it’s going to be phenomenal, which I am very excited about, but this shows too much too early.
