Catching all rarities of bugs is the crucial step of leveling up the Bug Catching Guild. It will unlock advanced versions of the Belt, as well as new items and crafting recipes at the Bug Catching Guild Store. One of the new, Uncommon Bugs that players can catch is the Draugr Beetle. In this guide, we will tell you where to find and catch the Draugr Beetle in Palia.

Where to Find Draugr Beetle in Palia

The Draugr Beetle is one of the new uncommon bugs in the game that spawn near the rivers and water of the Elderwood map region. The best area to find Draugr Beetles is the Mauvais Way. It is a big area surrounded by water and river patches. The Draugr Beetle has a high chance of spawning near the river patches. Draugr Beetle is an uncommon beetle, so it is relatively harder to find than the common beetles.

How to Catch Draugr Beetle in Palia

Catching the Draugr Beetle is easier than most bugs in Elderwood. Moreover, you can easily locate it due to its regular size and black and red colors. The easiest way to locate it is to listen for the bug sound queues while roaming in the Mauvais Way. Upon finding the Draugr Beetle, use the Smoke Bombs to stun it.

Additionally, stunning the Draugr Beetle will require a couple of Smoke Bombs, so make sure you bring enough to stun it when you find it. If the Draugr Beetle gets alerted, it will try to flee by crawling in a straight line. It is best to throw the Sticky Smoke Bombs on it to slow it down and then use the regular Smoke Bombs to stun it. Once you have stunned the Draugr Beetle, go near it and interact with it to pick it up.

NOTE: There is a chance you might run into an infected Draugr Beetle, which has a darker aura around it. If that happens, you need to use the Elderwood Smoke Bombs instead of regular Smoke Bombs. The Elderwood Smoke Bombs recipe is given by Najuma during the Bugging Out quest.

Catching the infected Draugr Beetle will also drop some Infected Essence.

Uses of Draugr Beetle in Palia

The main use of Draugr Beetle is to use it as a crafting ingredient for Brighteye Amulet II Relic. Players can sell Draugr Beetles for 46 Gold (Base) or 69 Gold (Star-Quality) to Zeki or at the Shipping Bin. Moreover, you can also gift it to certain villagers who like it or those who need it. So, if you can find any Draugr Beetles, store one in the storage so you can give one to the villagers who need it. The villagers’ needs change every week, so it is better to keep an eye on them.
