Techniques are a type of buff that your units can utilise on the battlefield. Depending on the Technique and its rarity, some can be extremely strong in certain situations! To give your units a Technique, you need Technique Shards. To obtain these shards, you need to complete a bunch of quests – alternatively, you can purchase Technique Shards with Robux.
