The A Ship of Gold is the new story quest for the Forgotten character in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Upon unlocking the Forgotten as a villager, you will get to explore the inside of the Skull Rock. In this guide, we will walk you through the A Ship of Gold quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete the A Ship of Gold Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
The A Ship of Gold quest begins automatically after completing the Shadows on the Wall quest. As you go through the first gate in the Skull Rock, A Ship of Gold quest will begin, requiring you to investigate further into the Skull Rock.
Search the area for a way to continue through Skull Rock
After following the Forgotten and speaking to him, you will see a shining item between a couple of rocks. Equip the Royal Pickaxe tool and break the rocks to find a Rope Winch and Pixie Dust. Moreover, another Pixie Dust Orb will be released into the Skull Rock.
Gather Pixie Dust and Follow Pixie Dust Orb
Now, go back down to the bottom of the Skull Rock to find Pixie Dust. Pick it up and go ahead to see a sparkling spot on the gate. Interact with it to place a Rope Winch. Turn the Rope Winch to open the gate. It will lead you to a cavern area. Follow the path until you see rocks blocking the path. Equip the pickaxe to break the rocks and continue ahead. Pick up the Pixie Dust and continue ahead. Repeat the process of finding the path by breaking the rocks and picking up the Pixie Dust from the floor.
Once you have 5 Pixie Dust, you will see the Pixie Dust Orb flying around the cave. Follow it to catch it.
Use the Pixie Dust to make something fly in Skull Rock
Now, leave the cavern area and go back to the main area of the Skull Rock near the ship. Go towards the ship, and you will get the option to interact with it. Interact with it and place the Pixie Dust onto the ship. It will turn the Ship into Gold, and it will start flying.
Cross to the other side
Now, go up along the path and get on the ship to make your way to the other side to join back with the Forgotten. Speak to the Forgotten, and it will mention that the symbols on the barrels might mean something.
Solve the Skull Rock Barrel Puzzle
There are six barrels around the ship, each one with a different symbol on it. You must interact with the barrels to rotate and face the symbols correctly. Here is how you need to match the symbols on the barrels.
Hook = Clock
Sewing Needle = Shadow
Pixie = Bell
Make sure that you align the symbols correctly, otherwise it will not register.
Find the key to the Captain’s Cabin
After solving the barrel puzzle, go to the Forgotten, and there will be a key nearby. Pick up the key and go to the Captain’s Cabin in the middle of the ship. Enter the cabin and pick up the Rope Winch.
Open the second gate on Skull Rock
Now, go back to the Forgotten and interact with the second gate nearby. Place the Rope Winch onto the gate and interact with it to open the gate. This will conclude the A Ship of Gold quest. Moreover, it will initiate the Music’s on the Walls quest automatically.
