Puzzle Spy International has just landed on Steam. It’s the first release from indie developer-publisher Travel-Friendly Cake. A 1960s spy adventure where you step into the role of Agent Epsilon and chase diamond thieves across different countries.
Keeping it completely faithful to the setting, the game has a mid-century modern art style inspired by 60s cartoons. The soundtrack also features jazzy spy music that totally complements the atmosphere. Take a look at the game below.
Solve the case in Puzzle Spy International
The game offers puzzles involving wordplay, puns, logical deduction, and rule discovery. There’s also a lot of conversations and optional flirting. The main character is a female protagonist with a mod fashion style.
The story follows a trail of cryptic puzzles left behind by jewel thieves. As Agent Epsilon, you move forward by decoding cryptograms, deciphering clues, and solving wordplay and logic puzzles across the globe.
With visual novel-style scenes, the globetrotting spy interviews suspects, travels internationally, and gathers information. Conversations matter because you can choose different dialogue options. For instance, you can collect more information or skip straight to the puzzle.
Puzzle Spy International includes 11 different challenging puzzles. You discover the rules of each puzzle when you reach that particular level. The game intentionally throws players straight into puzzles without instructions.
However, there’s a generous hint system which has two levels. They let you check whether your answers so far are correct or get hints about what you should think about next. The overall story has lots of puns, character names that lean into the joke, and a presentation inspired by classic spy stories.
Puzzle Spy International is now available on Steam for PC. It’s now having an introductory offer of $10.62, which is 15% off the standard $12.50 price. That discount will remain available until April 13th, 2026.
