MOTU is a toy franchise that was turned into an 80s animated TV show and a 1987 movie starring Dolph Lundgren as the uber buff hero. This updated reboot of Masters of the Universe from director Travis Knight brings the legendary franchise back – hitting theaters in June this summer. After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor. To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela and Duncan/Man-At-Arms, and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe. The impressive ensemble cast features Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man / Adam Glenn, Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Charlotte Riley, Kristen Wiig as Roboto, Jared Leto as Skeletor, and Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms. The first trailer + TV spot dropped earlier this year. This main trailer also looks promising – it’s mega cheesy but that’s obviously the point anyway.
