Explanation of New Features in Flashpoint Update – ARC Raiders
ARC Operation: Close Scrutiny is a brand new map condition, subsiding the Hurricane map condition. The loot in Close Scrutiny is less around the map, but the ARC Assessor, a strange machine that spawns on the map, contains all the riches. ARC Assessor will point blue lasers into the sky like the Surveyors to pinpoint the Raiders in its direction. However, getting to ARC Assessor will not be easy, as the Vaporizer, a new ARC threat, will be flying around it. Vaporizer is a flying armored ARC, similar to Rocketeer, but does devastating laser attacks.
The Devs have added two weapons: a legendary (rarity) Energy Shotgun that will deal expansive damage to ARC in close range, and a rare (rarity) Medium Ammo SMG that will deal great damage to ARC at medium range. These weapons might have a chance of dropping from the ARC Assessor during Close Scrutiny, but we still have to confirm it.
Now, players can run into Shredders on all maps. Shredders are no longer exclusive to Stella Montis’ map. Moreover, there have been some changes and fixes across every map to improve the playability of Raiders and ARCs.
Other than that, there is a new Project, High-Gain Antenna Player. There is also a new feeding feature for Scrappy. Players can feed Scrappy to make him hunt for new types of loot. Last but not least, there are two new cosmetic sets that players can acquire to show off their style.
