There are various ways to earn money (Silver) in Crimson Desert, including selling needless items, robbing the bank, pickpocketing, raiding the diamond mine, and more. However, if you want to get rich at the start of the game with less effort, then you can steal a Gold Bar and give it to the bank in exchange for 500 Silver. This trick is among the best for having a strong start in Crimson Desert. In this guide, we will tell you how to get a gold bar early in Crimson Desert.
Gold Bar Location in Crimson Desert
The Gold Bar is located in the Chimney on the ground floor of Lioncrest Manor, located northwest of Hernand Castle. It is a guarded manor, so sneaking inside will require you to climb the wall and open the window on the second floor.
How to Get a Gold Bar Early in Crimson Desert
As you will be stealing the Gold Bar, you must have a Mask. You cannot steal anything without wearing a Mask in Crimson Desert. You can obtain a mask by looting bodies of bandits or purchasing it from Grimrak, the Back Alley Shop, outside Hernand City. It will cost you 10 Copper for 1 Mask.
After acquiring a Mask, equip it, and then head to the Lioncrest Manor. Go over to the left side of the main entrance and climb the wall to open a window. Head inside and go down to the ground floor to spot the chimney. Firstly, turn off the fire in the chimney. After that, equip the lantern and point it at the chimney to get the “Steal” option. Kliff will reach into the chimney to get the Gold Bar.
Now, while you are stealing, make sure that the maid or the guard is not around you. If anyone spots you while you are still in the “Theft Zone”, you will be reported and jailed. Your best bet is to wait for the maid or the guard to go out or into the other room to steal it quickly, and then head up the second floor. Wait until the theft zone is over, and then you can head out safely.
TIP: The Gold Bar seems to respawn at the chimney after a few in-game days. You can re-steal it every time to keep earning 500 Silver per Bar.
How to Sell a Gold Bar in Crimson Desert
You can sell the Gold Bar to two different types of people. Take it to a regular merchant or the Banker. The regular merchant will pay you 190 Silver for 1 Gold Bar, whereas the Banker will give you 500 Silver for 1 Gold Bar. The obvious choice here is the Bank. Go to the Bank outside Hernand Castle and speak with the NPC behind the counter. Select the “Bank” option and then hand over the Gold Bar for 500 Silver.
