Escaping the Care Center as Grace in Resident Evil Requiem will require players to open the door to the courtyard. The locked door requires three different quartzes, which are obtained from opening puzzle boxes around the center. The second quartz that Grace can acquire is the Sun Quartz from the East Wing area. How to Get the Sun Quartz in Resident Evil Requiem
After finding the Moon Quartz from the Chairman’s Office in the West Wing area, your next objective is to get the Sun Quartz from the East Wing area. Similar to the first quartz, the Sun Quartz will be inside a puzzle box. The puzzle box that you are looking for will be inside the Lead Researcher’s Office on the second floor of the East Wing.
Unlock the East Wing Area
The first step is to access the East Wing area using the East Wing Keycard. You can get the East Wing Keycard from the Parlor in the West Wing area. The keycard will be in the hand of an arm on the floor, close to the bar counter in the Parlor. After getting the keycard, go back to the Central Hall and use the keycard to unlock the East Wing Hospital Wards.
Head to the Lead Researcher’s Office on the Second Floor
Once you are in the East Wing area, head to the path on the left and enter the Examination Room. From here, enter the Treatment Room and then exit to the corridor. Turn right from here and follow the path to the Isolation Ward. Go down the corridor ahead and eliminate the zombies. Continue ahead to come across the staircase. Head up the staircase, and the Lead Researcher’s Office will be in the front. However, before heading inside, pick up the ID Wristband (Level 1) from the body down the corridor. After that, you can head inside the Lead Researcher’s Office.
Find the Corrosive for the Padlock
Open the office door to spot the Puzzle Box. However, you can access the puzzle box due to a padlock. You will have to destroy the padlock by pouring a corrosive over it. To find the Corrosive, head to the Conference Room on the second floor. Go down the hallway from where you picked up the wristband to reach the Conference Room. Here, you will have to fight multiple zombies. Clear out the room and go to the back room to find the corrosive.
Destroy the Padlock
Now, head back to the Lead Researcher’s Office and use the corrosive on the padlock. It will give you access to the puzzle box.
Look at the Photographs in the Office for Clues
The clues for the combination to the puzzle box are in the photographs. Examine the photos to spot the symbols on the puzzle box. Here is the correct combination for the puzzle box in the Lead Researcher’s Office.
Star, Sun, Moon, Sun.
Once you are ready, interact with the puzzle box and press the correct buttons in order. As the puzzle box opens, pick up the Sun Quartz and the notebook.
With the second quartz in hand, you can go and place it on the door to the Courtyard in the Central Hall.
