Getting the fuse is the main objective of the initial phase when Grace wakes up at the Care Center. You will find a locked door that only opens with two fuses. One of the fuses will be missing, and your objective is to get the fuse. However, there will be a deadly threat at the Care Center that you have to avoid and safely get the fuse to escape. In this guide, we will tell you how to get the Fuse at the Care Center in Resident Evil Requiem.
Fuse Box Puzzle Solution at the Care Center – Resident Evil Requiem
After waking up in the Care Center, walk down the hallway and follow the lighted path to come across a locked door. Here, you will find a box with two fuse slots, and only one of them will have a fuse. To open the door, you must find another fuse and install it in the fuse box. Follow the steps of each section below to get the fuse and open the door.
Grab the Cherub Key and Unlock Room 201
The Cherub Key is in the drawer at the end of the corridor where the fuse box is. Interact with the drawer to get the Cherub Key. Now, go back into the corridor, and you will come across Room 201 on the left. It has the same cherub engraving on the door. Interact with the door and use the key to unlock it.
Grab the Lighter and Remember the Fuse Location
Enter Room 201 and go to the back area to find another fuse box with a fuse inside it. If you interact with it, you need to get a screwdriver to open the fuse box. This is the fuse you need to get to open the door. Now, look at the shelf on the left to spot a lighter. Pick up the Lighter from the shelf. Moreover, there will be a typewriter in Room 201; do not forget to save.
Find the Screwdriver
To get clues on where to find the Screwdriver, head inside Room 202. Equip the lighter to see in the darkness. Interact with the storybook on the table and turn through the pages to get a hint for “Stay in the light”. Now, open the door on the back of the room to get a little jump scare, and then interact with the note on the cardboard box. The note will mention that the “screwdriver is in the toolbox in the nurses’ station.”
Leave the room and go down the corridor on the left. Once at the end, turn right and follow the path until you come across a door. Interact with the door to trigger a cutscene. Here, you will encounter the Girl creature for the first time. To avoid the girl creature, run to Room 203, as she is weak to light.
After avoiding the girl creature, go back to the room where you encountered her first. This is the nurses’ station. There will be a Med Injector on the floor that you can pick up. You need to push the trolley in the room to the back right corner to reach the toolbox. However, as you push the trolley, it will alert the girl creature. After pushing it for a bit, crouch down under a pile of ledges near the main door. Let the girl creature search and leave.
Once done, move the trolley to the spot and then climb on top of it to reach the toolbox. Open the toolbox and get the screwdriver.
Get the Fuse from Room 201
After getting the screwdriver, you need to head back to Room 201. You will have to avoid the girl creature along the way. The best way to do it is to throw the empty bottles to distract her. Once you are in Room 201, go to the fuse box to unscrew it and take the fuse.
Open the Locked Door
As you take the fuse, a cutscene will start. After the cutscene, run to the locked door down the corridor. Interact with the fuse box to initiate another cutscene, and the puzzle will conclude.
