The Shrouded Sky update of Arc Raiders is live now, and it offers a lot of new content. There is a brand-new hurricane map condition and a new location on the Dam Battlegrounds map. The new location is right next to Pipeline Tower, called Controlled Access Zone. This new location is a high-tier loot spot, but acquiring the valuable loot requires unlocking a locked room by solving a button puzzle. In this guide, we will tell you how to solve the Controlled Access Zone room puzzle in Arc Raiders.
Controlled Access Zone Room Puzzle Solution Guide – Arc Raiders
The Controlled Access Zone is a new location on Dam Battlegrounds. It includes two locked doors in the main area. One locked door has a red light on it; it is not a part of the puzzle, as it requires a new key to unlock it. The second door has a yellow light on it; this one is a puzzle. The puzzle requires players to press all four buttons in the area simultaneously. This means that solving the room puzzle in the Controlled Access Zone requires at least four players.
Room Puzzle Location
The Controlled Access Zone is located next to the Pipeline Tower. It is in a red outline, so it’s hard to miss while viewing the location on the map. To get to the location, you can get in through various ways. If you go to the top of the location, you will spot a hole in the fencing and a ladder going down. Jump down through the hole or go down the ladder to reach the area. Once there, you can find the locked room with a yellow light on the main red staircase.
Where to Find the Battery in the Controlled Access Zone
Now, the four buttons you and other players need to press are all in the Controlled Access Zone. However, one of the buttons will be inside another locked room with a yellow light. This room is in a hallway on the top floor. To open the door, you need to place the battery in the console located in front of the door on the red metal platform. It is very hard to miss the console.
Now, to find the battery, search the bottom floor of the area. The battery can be anywhere in the area, but the bottom floor has the highest spawn rate. Search every corner of the water and the bush. Moreover, look behind the giant yellow structures on the bottom floor. After finding the battery, bring it up to the console and place it in to open door.
Unlock the Locked Door
Now, it’s time to open the main locked door in the area. Communicate with all of the players and place each one at the button. The buttons are easy to find. The first button is next to the locked door, the second one is on the pipe on the upper floor, the third one is on the pipe outside the locked room that you opened, and the final button is inside the locked room. Once everyone is ready, press the four buttons simultaneously to open the door.
Gather the Materials to Unlock the Second Door
As you open the door, you will get to witness the next stage of the puzzle. You will see another locked door and a structure with missing items. The missing items will be random every time. You must gather the items and then interact with the structure to open the final door. These items can be metal parts, wires, an industrial charger, a power cable, a motor, etc.
All Loot Containers in the Locked Door
After contributing all the missing items, the final door will unlock, revealing a big room with numerous loot containers. The loot containers include up to 2 weapon crates, lockers, and breachable containers. Moreover, there will be numerous items placed on top of structures in the room.
TIP: Loot the lockers underneath the staircase to find high-tier loot, including epic weapons.
Solving this room puzzle can take up to 10 – 15 minutes and even more, depending on how quickly you can find the battery and players to help open the doors. Moreover, I highly recommend that you get into PvE lobbies to complete this puzzle, as you cannot complete it in PvP lobbies.
