What are the rarest fish in Abyss? Unless you get super lucky, your best chances are using upgraded Guns, Tubes, and Artifacts. Depending on which race you roll, you may have some added benefits. I’ve written an Abyss Race Tier List, which summarises all buffs and passives.
Abyss Rarest Fish
Now, the rarest fish mainly include Mythical and Legendary rarity fish. However, you cannot find these rare fish in certain locations, which results in the highest rarity being Epic in some cases. So, for now, as there aren’t too many fish in the game, I’m going to note down the rarest fish in each location, even if they aren’t Mythical or Legendary.

The Whale is actually a mini-boss and cannot be caught by players. The only way to defeat this boss is by killing it. The three players who deal the most damage during the fight obtain a reward drop. Similar to the Whale and the Dragonfish, the King Anglerfish is a mini-boss. Instead of catching it, you can defeat the fish to obtain rewards. The three players who manage to deal the most damage during the fight will get King Anglerfish Meat. There is a 15% chance for one of these players to get a King Anglerfish Head.

How to Catch the Rarest Fish
To increase your chances of catching the rarest fish in Abyss, make sure you upgrade your Gun. Some fish cannot be caught if your Gun isn’t strong enough. The best way to progress through each Gun quickly is by earning lots of in-game money. The strongest Gun in Abyss right now costs 321,987.
Tubes are also important, as they determine how long you can spend underwater, how deep you can travel, and how much weight you can carry. There are Artifacts to collect and equip, too. They provide various buffs, from increased Weight, Oxygen, and more.
