Rashida Jones & Kate McKinnon in Sci-Fi ‘In the Blink of an Eye’ Trailer

“Everyone that was there before you never really goes away.” Searchlight Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for a new indie sci-fi movie called In the Blink of an Eye, which is skipping theaters and will be released directly streaming on Hulu at the end of this month. This is also the first live-action sci-fi feature from director Andrew Stanton since he made John Carter (of Mars) back in 2012. I’m always ready for more sci-fi stories from Stanton! Three storylines, spanning thousands of years, intersect & reflect on hope, connection, and the circle of life. This fascinating triptych sci-fi experience debuted at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival (here’s my review) to mixed reactions. “A story about where we came from, where we are, and where we’re going.” Starring Rashida Jones, Kate McKinnon, Daveed Diggs, Jorge Vargas, Tanaya Beatty. It’s set across three different timelines – thousands of years ago, modern times, and in the distant future on a space voyage to another planet. Following humanity and showing how love connects us & takes us across space & time. I enjoyed this film even though it’s not this year’s best sci-fi. Entirely worth a watch. // Continue Reading ›
