Developer Team Ninja and publisher Koei Tecmo announced that they will release a collaboration DLC between the upcoming Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake and the Neobards Entertainment developed survival horror game, Silent Hill f.
Silent Hill f gets Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake collab DLC
The Silent Hill f free collab DLC will include costumes. Details on what that will encompass are sparse, but it was revealed that more details about the update would be announced “in the coming weeks.”
Here is the full statement: “The terrifying gameplay gets even scarier with a newly-announced collaboration with Silent Hill f, the latest title of the renowned psychological horror franchise Silent Hill that has sold over 13 million copies worldwide. Collaboration costumes will be added as free downloadable content at a later date. More details about this future update will be announced in the coming weeks.”
Although the Silent Hill f collab DLC wasn’t shown, it wouldn’t be surprising if the free costume was based on the Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake’s protagonist, Mio Amakura. As the remake is getting a free costume based on Silent Hill f, it isn’t a stretch to think it would be based on Shimizu Hinako’s outfit.
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake launches for PS5 on March 12. The Standard Edition will cost $49.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $69.99. They are both available to preorder on the PS Store right now.
Silent Hill f is available now for the PS5 on the PS Store. The Standard Edition is $69.99 and the Deluxe Edition is $79.99. However, players can grab a Dual Pack that includes Silent Hill f and the Silent Hill 2 remake right now for $59.99.
Koei Tecmo’s Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake seems to be hitting its slated release date, unlike the company’s Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered, which recently got delayed.
