This premiered at last year’s TIFF in the Midnight section, then it played at tons of genre festivals including at Sitges, Fantastic Fest, Screamfest, Morbido, ToHorror, FrightFest, and the Telluride Horror Show in the fall. Macy fights for survival after being abducted by a deranged, monster-like figure who wants to raise her as their child. Dolly unleashes terror in the woods and embraces gritty craftsmanship, practical effects, and a sense of place that bleeds into every frame. It is a deliberate nod to the legacy of homemade horror born in the woods.
