Now that 2025 is coming to a close, Sony wants to remind players that there are tons of major PS5 games scheduled for release in 2026. The list includes several first-party PlayStation Studios titles, like the highly anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine by Insomniac Games.
PS5 players have these games to look forward to in 2026
Besides Wolverine, Sony is publishing Housemarque’s Saros and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The former will get a fresh look at The Game Awards 2025 later today.
Then, there’s Microsoft’s worst-kept secret: Halo. Halo: Campaign Evolved will be the first time that the franchise will release on a PlayStation platform.
Other notable third-party games coming in 2026 include the promising 007 First Light and Capcom’s mysterious Pragmata. Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker looks pretty good, too.
Players should also keep an eye on Crimson Desert and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020.
Keep in mind that we’re not even scratching the surface here and Sony’s sizzle reel isn’t meant to be an exhaustive list of new games.
We are expecting a few 2026 announcements at The Game Awards 2025, and then there’s more to come when we’re actually into 2026.
If recent years are any indication, AA games have made a triumphant return, as seen in the case of Mafia: The Old Country and RoboCop: Rogue City. So AA games are also worth keeping an eye on.
