Where to Mine Eye Ore in The Forge
To mine Eye Ore, you need to head to the Ruined Caves in the Forgotten Kingdom or the Volcanic Depths.
When mining in the Forgotten Kingdom, Eye Ore has a chance of dropping from Basalt Cores, Basalt Rocks, and Basalt Veins. Whereas, in the Volcanic Depths, you have to break Volcanic Rocks.
About Eye Ore
Eye Ore is a Legendary rarity ore with a 1 in 1,333 chance of dropping when breaking the required rocks. When forging with Eye Ore, it provides a 4x multiplier, making it one of the better options for your crafts.
The main thing about Eye Ore is that its trait buffs one of your stats, but debuffs another. So, when you use Eye Ore to forge a piece of armor, its trait increases the DEF of the armor by 15%.
If you forge a weapon with Eye Ore, it increases the amount of DMG you deal by 15%. But what about the debuff I mentioned? Well, in exchange for the weapon/armor buff, your HP reduces by 10%.
Is Eye Ore Worth Using When Forging?
Yes! It’s a great ore to use when trying to increase the effectiveness of armor or your weapon’s DMG. The -10% HP debuff isn’t great, but it could be worse. You can make up for this HP reduction by increasing your defense with various pieces of armor.
However, while I recommend using Eye Ore if you have it, there are better options. This is especially the case with ores that unlock new passives and those that deal Burn DMG/AoE DMG.

How to Get to the Volcanic Depths

To reach the Volcanic Depths, you need to wander through the Ruined Caves of the Forgotten Kingdom. The entrance to the Volcanic Depths can be found easily when heading up the hill to the left of the Enhancer shop.
Look for the sign that reads ‘DANGER’ and walk up the slope, following the pathway until you see spiked rocks with orange magma. Here, there are Basalt Vein rocks that you need to break so that you can drop down into the Volcanic Depths.
Your pickaxe needs to have a Mining Power stat of at least 78 to do this. But you can always wait around for another player to break these rocks if you don’t have the right pickaxe yet.
Which Pickaxes Can You Use to Enter the Volcanic Depths?
As mentioned in the question above, you need a pickaxe that has a Mining Power of at least 78 to break the rocks blocking the entrance to the Volcanic Depths. But which pickaxes can you use?

How to Get to the Forgotten Kingdom
If you haven’t unlocked the Forgotten Kingdom yet, you need to reach at least level 10 and complete all of the quests from Sensei Moro. As a reward, you get the Portal, which you can summon from your hotbar at any time.
Interacting with this Portal opens a teleportation menu, where you can select from the Forgotten Kingdom and Stonewake’s Cross. The Ruined Caves, where you can find the required rocks for Eye Ore, can be found by heading towards the forge.
Then, make your way to the left around the corner to walk up the slope past the Runemaker and Enhancer shops. At the top of this slope, you can find one of the entrances, but there are multiple ways of entering the Ruined Caves!
