New PS5 Exclusive Shooter Being Developed by Left 4 Dead Creator

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced it is partnering with video game studio Bad Robot Games to develop a four-player, co-op shooter. Attached to direct the project is Mike Booth, the creator and lead designer of the Valve’s beloved shooter, Left 4 Dead.

Sony partnering with Bad Robot Games on new PS5 co-op shooter

Bad Robot Games, a division of J.J. Abrams’s production company Bad Robot, is currently developing the upcoming co-op shooter for PS5 and PC. Details about the game are scarce, but more will be shared “at a later date.”

So, when can we see an announcement for the upcoming PS5 co-op shooter from Bad Robot? Technically, the next big event is The Game Awards next week, on December 11. However, it seems a bit odd that SIE would make this announcement now and not next week if it were to be shown at the show, so it probably won’t be there. It is possible this shows up at one of the State of Plays next year. We’ll just have to wait and see where it shows up.
