New US Trailer for Heartwarming ‘Young Mothers’ Film from Belgium

“I just want a better life.” Music Box Films has revealed their own official US trailer for the opening of the Belgian film Young Mothers, also referred to as The Young Mother’s Home, set to begin playing in US theaters in January 2026. It’s the latest film from the acclaimed Belgian duo known as The Dardennes. This is Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardennes’ 13th feature film so far, and it also premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival like so many other films they’ve made before (including Rosetta, L’Enfant, Lorna’s Silence, The Kid with a Bike). The film already debuted in France back in May just after Cannes – and has been playing in Europe already. Five mothers living in a shelter strive for a better future for themselves & their kids amidst challenging upbringings. The indie Belgian film stars Babette Verbeek, Elsa Houben, Janaïna Halloy Fokan, Lucie Laruelle, and Samia Hilmi. Housed in a shelter for young mothers, Jessica, Perla, Julie, Naïma and Ariane, all of whom have grown up in difficult circumstances, struggle to obtain a better life for themselves and their children.
