If you plan to save the Deer in 99 Nights in the Forest, you’ll need to know how to get Purple Fur in 99 Nights in the Forest. It’s the final step when healing the Deer, and if you want it to fight on your side, it’s crucial to obtain it.
How to Get Purple Fur in 99 Nights in the Forest
There are two ways you can get Purple Fur. Luckily, it’s not as rare to find as you may expect!
Near the Deer
The best place to find Purple Fur is in the area where you find the injured Deer. The Deer is lying on a patch of damaged ground, and around it will be a few pieces of this fur. As the map changes during each playthrough, there isn’t a set location we can give you. Do some exploring and keep your eyes peeled!
The Cave
I know simply saying ‘The Cave’ is broad, as there are different caves you can come across. The Cave you need to find is the one with scratches on the outside. During my playthroughs, this cave was located nearby to where the injured Deer was, so make sure you look around. There will be a few pieces of fur outside the Cave.
Why Do You Need Purple Fur?
In the latest update, the Deer is injured. You can help it by giving it bandages, meat, and Purple Fur. Once you do this, the Deer will team up with you and defeat any Cultists or animals that will attack.
But why is it purple? In the cutscene after you save the Deer, you will see it walk towards the Cave. A purple wing pokes out. The Deer hisses, and its eyes turn red. The creature that hurt the Deer is likely purple. Once the Deer sees the Purple Fur, maybe it is reminded of what happened, which is why it teams up with you!
