Prevention is one of the tasks exclusive to Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. It begins automatically after completing the Anamnesis quest. This task allows you to prepare for the plague spreading across the monastery. During this quest, Henry will be able to make a plague outfit, which protects him from sickness. If the players continue the main DLC quest (Silent Witnesses) without completing Prevention, they will get a permanent Sickness debuff as they enter the crypt. Prevention Task Walkthrough – Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
The Prevention task begins automatically after completing the Anamnesis quest for Albich of Uniczow. Albich will give the Prevention task and mention the crucial ingredients to make a plague outfit. Before exploring the monastery to find the ingredients, speak with Zacharias (the doctor) in the infirmary. He will give you the hints on where to find the materials.
Gather the Materials
The quest will highlight the four main materials, including rope, leather, mint, and sage. Open the map to view the various highlighted areas across the monastery where you need to search for the materials.
Find Leather and Rope
To find leather and rope, go to the small huts north of the infirmary. Make your way to the hut left of the tower gate. Head inside the open area of the hut to find Pig Skin. It counts as leather. Now, open the door of the hut and pick up the Flax Rope from the ground.
Find Mint and Sage
The mint and sage grow in the woodland gardens, southeast of the infirmary. Sage is a green and purple flower, and mint has small, green leaves. Gather 4x Sage and 4x Mint from the woodland gardens.
NOTE: While you are in the woodland gardens, gather 3x Chamomile and 1x Valerian. You will need them to brew aromatic oil next.
Get the recipe for Aromatic Oil
To get the recipe for Aromatic Oil, go to the Library and read the book on the southwest bookstand. Interact with the book on the bookstand and flip through the pages to get the recipe.
Brew the Aromatic Oil/Essential Oil
The ingredients to make Aromatic Oil or Essential Oil are 1 Sage, 3 Chamomile, and 1 Valerian. Once you are ready, go to the Alchemy bench in the infirmary and interact with it. Here is a step-by-step procedure to brew the aromatic oil.
Add oil to the cauldron.
Add 3 chamomile to the cauldron.
Boil for 3 turns without bellows.
Grind 1 Sage in the mortar using the pestle.
Add ground sage to the cauldron and boil for 1 turn.
Grind 1 Valerian in the mortar using the pestle.
Add ground valerian to the cauldron.
Take the phial and pour.
Upon brewing the oil correctly, you will get the Fragrant Oil.
Make the Plague Outfit
Now, turn to the right side and go over to the table. You will get a prompt to make a plague mask. Press the interaction key and add the following ingredients.
8x Mint or 8x Sage
1x Leather
1x Rope
1x Fragrant Oil (Aromatic Oil)
After contributing all the correct ingredients, the screen will turn black, and you will get the Plague Hood. Moreover, the Prevention task will conclude. You can now equip the Plague Hood to prevent getting the sickness debuff while entering the crypt.
