How to find the Cultist Lair and make your way to The Sanctum.
Cultist Lair Location
The Cultist Lair can be found on Terrapin Island; however, you must unlock access by activating a lever.
How to Unlock the Cultist Lair
To do this, you need to obtain the Sea Traveller Note from the Sea Traveller NPC. You can find this NPC on Terrapin Island and Moosewood Island. To get the Sea Traveller Note, you must catch a Sea Turtle and give it to the Sea Traveller. This is a Mythical-rarity catch from Terrapin Island, with a preference for the daytime.
Once you have the note, you need to head to Terrapin Hideaway and wait for Foggy weather during the nighttime. Once these conditions are met, a lever spawns, and you can interact with it to unlock the Cultist Lair.
Unlocking the Cultist Lair Sub-Locations
How to get to each sub-location.
Cultist Lair
Firstly, there’s the Cultist Lair, where you can fish, complete quests, and find Obelisks. To get to the next area (the Hall of Whispers), you must enter the main room while avoiding the guard, and then look for a door by the entrance. To open this door, you need to obtain:

Hall of Whispers
The second area is the Hall of Whispers. Like the first area in the Cultist Lair, you can fish, find Obelisks, and there’s a chance of a Cathulid and Cathulith Abundances spawning. To unlock the next location, head from the entrance to the opposite side to find another door. For this door, you need to collect:

The third area of the Cultist Lair. Similar to the Hall of Whispers, Cathulid and Cathulith Abundances can spawn here, and there are Obelisks to find. Walk forward from the entrance to see a door which leads you to an elevator. This elevator takes you to the final location, which is The Sanctum.
The Sanctum
Don’t forget to look out for Obelisks here, too! Once you enter The Sanctum, head down the pathway to find the Central Gate. To open this, you need a Dreamer’s Amulet. Unlocking the Central Gate grants access to a new area, where Leviathan Hunts can be spawned, and where you can get the Eidolon Rod. To get this fishing rod, however, you need to collect all of the Obelisks throughout each area of the Cultist Lair.
How to Get the Dreamer’s Amulet
You can craft the Dreamer’s Amulet once you have completed all of the quests throughout the Cultist Lair and its sub-locations.
How to Spawn Leviathan Hunts
The main feature of The Sanctum is the Leviathan Hunts. For this hunt to spawn, you must collect specific items to place on the pedestals. You must obtain:
1 Rainbow Cluster Cathulid1 Solarblaze Cathulid1 Purified Cathulid or 1 Purified Cathulith1 Aurora Cathulith1 Nova Cathulith
During the Leviathan Hunt, you have a chance of catching the Exotic rarity Leviathan. Each time a Leviathan Hunt spawns, there’s a 10% chance of it turning into the Profane Leviathan Hunt. In this event, you have a 10% chance of catching the Profane Leviathan.
