How to Build Roads in Europa Universalis 5
Building the roads is particularly efficient from your nation’s capital, as it will gain you more control over other cities and increase the proximity. However, the player can still choose to build the road from anywhere in the nation.
To build a road in EU5, click on the city from which you want to start the road. It will open the management window on the left side. Now, select the Roads button in the menu to begin the process of building roads. As you move the cursor over the region, it will portray the road line. Click on the city or area where you want the road to end.
NOTE: Keep the road length within the green highlighted cities. The yellow-highlighted areas are unaffordable.
The cost of building a road will show up on the final menu as you confirm the destination of the road. If you are comfortable with the cost, click the left button on the final window pop-up to begin the road construction. The construction of a road will take a lot of time, depending on the length. To see the progress of the road construction, simply click on the city where you are building the road from. It will show you the remaining days for the road to be completed.
