“Join the Whobilation, again!” Universal Pictures has unveiled a new trailer for the 25th Anniversary re-release of the beloved Christmas classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas – the live-action version with Jim Carrey from the year 2000. Many kids grew up watching and loving this one. Older generations grew up with the animated classic 1966 version from Chuck Jones. Both based on the beloved book created by Dr. Seuss – How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The movie, directed by Ron Howard, is a live-action version of the story about a grumpy green creature known as “The Grinch”, who lives above a town called Whoville – played under perfectly wicked make-up by the one-and-only Jim Carrey. (Rick Baker & Gail Rowell-Ryan won the Best Make-Up Oscar for this.) He plans to ruin Christmas for all of the citizens of the town, because he hates Christmas. His plan is foiled when he meets the young Cindy Lou Who (played by actress Taylor Momsen in her first film role) who teaches him the true meaning of Christmas. The cast includes Jeffrey Tambor, Christine Baranski, Bill Irwin, and Molly Shannon.
