Where to Find and Catch Pikachu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Pikachu is one of the all-time favorite Pokémon of fans and casual players in the Pokémon universe. Similar to other Pokémon games, Pikachu is available in the latest title, Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Pikachu is a Gen 1 Electric-type Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and players can evolve it to Raichu. In this guide, we will tell you where to find and catch Pikachu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Pikachu Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Pikachu is an Electric-Type Pokémon that is very effective in dealing damage to enemies, especially if they are Water-Type Pokémon. However, Pikachu is one of the earliest-level Pokémon that you can find in the game. Its starting level is Level 8, and there are a couple of spots where it spawns.

Pikachu Spawn Locations in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Similar to most Pokémon, Pikachu’s major spawn locations are inside the Wild Zones around Lumiose City. Fortunately, it spawns in Wild Zone 3, which is one of the earliest Wild Zones available for players still in the early game. The Wild Zone 3 is north of Lumiose City in the Rogue Plaza.

The second location is for Alpha Pikachu, which spawns on the roof of Cafe Bataille in Wild Zone 6. The Wild Zone 6 is on the eastern side of Lumiose City. Alpha Pikachu is a Level 42 Pokémon and is a lot difficult to catch. However, if you have a high-level Ground-type Pokémon, you might get lucky in catching an Alpha Pikachu.

NOTE: Both Wild Zone 3 and 6 are available after reaching Main Mission 5.

How to Catch Pikachu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

If you have low-level Pokémon, then we recommend going for Pikachu in Wild Zone 3. Once you have access to Wild Zone 3, enter through the southern gate and make your way to the right side to spot a Pikachu. It is best to crouch and stay behind Pikachu to catch it easily with a Quick Ball.

If you do not have a Quick Ball, spawn a Ground-type Pokémon to attack Pikachu. It is because Pikachu is weak to Ground-type attacks. Attack Pikachu until it is stunned and then throw the Poké Ball to catch it. After catching Pikachu, it will be added to the Pokedex at No. 53.
