Where is the Fisch Skeletal Nessie, and how do you unlock Nessie’s Catacomb? Another new addition to Fisch with the Fischfright 2025 event is the Necrotic Rod! This is a craftable fishing rod that is only available during the Halloween season.
Fisch Skeletal Nessie
The Skeletal Nessie is a limited-time fish that you can catch during Fischfright 2025. The Silas NPC in Crook’s Hallow asks you to bring him one in the Fischfright – Silas quest, which rewards you with the Skull title and 1.5K Candy. Silas stands by the statue of Nessie!

First, you must unlock a secret area.
How to Unlock Nessie’s Catacomb
Frightful Skulls and a Baby Nessy are required when unlocking Nessie’s Catacomb. Once you have these items, you must visit the Nessie Statue in Crook’s Hallow.
How to Get Frightful Skulls
Let’s start with the skulls:
Blue Frightful Skull
Blue Frightful Pools
Orange Frightful Skull
Orange Frightful Pools
Purple Frightful Skull
Purple Frightful Pools
Red Frightful Skull
Red Frightful Pools
Green Frightful Skull
Green Frightful Pools
Each of these Frightful Pools has a random chance of spawning across the map and lasts for around 10 minutes. As the list states above, you can only get each colour of Skull depending on the colour of the Frightful Pool you’re fishing at.
How to Get Baby Nessie
Now, for the Baby Nessie, you can fish around Crook’s Hallow in hopes that you eventually catch it. It prefers the Autumn season, nighttime, and Gobstopper bait. However, the easiest way of getting Baby Nessie is by going Trick or Treating.
Once you have a Candy Bucket, you can explore Crook’s Hallow and knock on the doors of residents. If they give you a Treat, you have a 1.21% chance of them giving you the Baby Nessie. If they Trick you, you only get Candy.
Nessie Statue
Next, you have to wait for nighttime before heading to the Cemetery in Crook’s Hallow. Here, you can find a statue of Nessie, which you must stand in front of. Hold the Baby Nessie out and wait for the secret area to unlock.
Entering this secret area, you can see five statues. You must place each of the Frightful Skulls you collected onto these statues to replace the heads. This then opens a door that leads you to Nessie’s Catacomb, where you can start fishing for the Skeletal Nessie.
How to Catch a Skeletal Nessie
The first method is to fish up the Skeletal Nessie like any other fish. It doesn’t have many preferences, apart from the season being Autumn and has a higher chance of appearing when you use Gummy Fish as bait. The Skeletal Nessie itself has a Resilience of 5 and a Progress Speed of -90%, which means it’s pretty difficult to catch during the fishing minigame.
As for its location, you must fish in Nessie’s Catacomb, which is an area exclusive to the Fischfright 2025 event. Other than that, it’s as simple as that! Though I will say you should opt for powerful fishing rods which have a high Maximum Weight stat, as well as high Luck.
