How To Get 99 Nights in the Forest Candles
Candles drop from Chests and Cultists, with a higher spawn frequency depending on how many days you’ve survived. So, to maximise on tricks and treats, I recommend rescuing the children and crafting beds as soon as possible to maximise your day counter.
Trick or Treating
With Candles, you’re able to light up the new houses that spawn around the map, fashioned with pumpkins on their porch and a lantern. Once a houses lantern ignites, the candle is used up and you’ll need to find another to light up more homes.
During nighttime, you’re able to knock on the doors of the houses which you’ve lit the lanterns of to recieve tricks or treats. Tricks typically award between 1-3 Candies, with some NPCs also moving all your collected items out of your sack and hotbar onto the floor. Treats, however, award you plenty of candies and occasionally other loot.
Since you’re only able to knock during nightfall, I recommend candy farming with a friends so that you can take turns distracting the deer to keep the trick or treater safe.
Houses enter cooldown for a few nights after use, so make sure you unlock as many as possible, as soon as possible.
Candies
In the main lobby, you’ll meet the new NPC who exchanges candies for limited time halloween-themed rewards, such as a new Class, Furniture, and tamed animal cosmetics. Theres also the HappyHalloween code which awards you with an addtional 10 Candies!
