There are plenty of new rods to obtain during the Fischfright event!

Jack-o-Blazer Rod

Luck: 66.6%Speed: 96%Resilience: 66%Control: 0.16Maximum Weight: Infinite

Passive

The Jack-o-Blazer rod increases the chance of catching fish with the Wicked mutation by 20% and the Jack’s Curse mutation by 2%. The Wicked mutation increases the selling value of the fish by 6.6x, and the Jack’s Curse mutation increases the selling value by 16.6x.

How to Get the Jack-o-Blazer Rod

To get the Jack-o-Blazer fishing rod, you must complete the Headless Horseman’s questline. There are 5 quests to work through, which require you to collect a Frightful Jack-o-Lantern, 5 Wisps, a Haunted Candle, a Blazed Handle, and 5K Candy.

Dusekkar Rod

Luck: 166%Speed: 80%Resilience: 80%Control: 0.05Maximum Weight: 700,000kg

Passive

Increases the chance of catches having the Nightmare mutation, which boosts the value of the fish by 16x. The Progress Speed during the fishing minigame when using the Dusekkar rod increases by 25%.

How to Get the Dusekkar Rod

To obtain the Dusekkar Rod, you need to visit the Flying Dutchman NPC on Moosewood Island, who stands upon a ghostly ship. When speaking with the Flying Dutchman NPC, you can exchange the event-exclusive currency, Candy, to purchase a variety of Fischfright rewards. The Dusekkar Rod itself costs a total of 25K Candy.

Bat Whisperer Rod

Luck: 96%Speed: 86%Resilience: 30%Control: 0.15Maximum Weight: 200,000kg

Passive

When using the Bat Whisperer rod, it summons a swarm of bats that catch a random fish every 30 seconds, which have the Batty mutation. This mutation increases the selling value of the fish by 3x.

How to Get the Bat Whisperer Rod

Like the Dusekkar rod, you need to speak with the Flying Dutchman NPC on Moosewood Island. You can purchase the Bat Whisperer rod with 10K Candy!

Spooky Rod

Luck: 66%Speed: 75%Resilience: -10%Control: 0.2Maximum Weight: 150,000kg

Passive

The Spooky rod comes with a variety of mutation chance buffs.

Increases the chance of getting the Spooky mutation by 10% (boosts the selling value by 6x)Increases the chance of getting the Frightful mutation by 10% (boosts the selling value by 6x)Increases the chance of getting the Eerie mutation by 10% (boosts the selling value by 6x)

Plus, every second, there’s a 50% chance for the Progress Speed to increase by 4%. There’s also a 50% chance for fish to become frozen, increasing Progress Speed by 5%.

How to Get the Spooky Rod

To obtain the Spooky rod, you must put 10 of the Witch’s Ingredients into the Witch’s Cauldron. You can find the Witch NPC (and the Cauldron) in Crook’s Hallow, which is a nevent-exclusive location that you can teleport to by speaking with the Flying Dutchman NPC.
