You’ll need to get your hands on some of the Gone Hunting Bait if you plan on fishing in Gone Hunting, as each piece gives you a unique buff to increase your chances of catching something.
Gone Hunting Bait
You can purchase bait from Dr. Tinkerton’s shop, which is where all of the other shops are. When speaking to him, make sure you select the option that says ‘Bait’ at the top of your screen to see what is available. But if you fancy more of a browse, you can also purchase darts and weather dials from him.
Keep in mind that bait has a stock, meaning there are only limited pieces of bait available. If the stock runs out, you need to wait until the store refreshes. This is the same for darts, too! Luckily, you can see how long is left until a reset at the bottom of your screen when the shop is open.
Using Bait
To use bait, open your gear and click on the button at the top of the screen that says ‘Bait’. Here, you can view all of the bait you have and choose which to equip. You will also be able to see how many pieces you have left, which is always handy to know.
