Which Life Skill should you focus on levelling?
Culinary
With the Culinary Life Skill, you can cook up a variety of dishes that you can consume to increase your stats temporarily. For example, a Hearty Stewmix boosts your Magic Attack DMG, an Astelpot Feast boosts your Stamina, and a Meatfish Skewer boosts your normal Attack stat.
You can also cook dishes that you eat to replenish your HP, like the Fruitocean Gelato. Being a Culinarian lets you keep a constant stock of HP replenishing food in for when you’ve got some tricky battles ahead.
To create these dishes, however, you need to gather or purchase the ingredients. You save in-game money overall by cooking yourself, otherwise you’ll have to buy meals from vendors or other players, which can get pricey.
Smelting
If you want to make your own armor, or make pieces that you can sell for extra in-game money, Smelting is the Life Skill for you. When collecting ore and other required materials, you can smelt a wide range of armor pieces, from helmets to gloves. Plus, you can craft weapons, too! Whether you make a shield for a Shield Knight or a Sword for a Stormblade.
Like the Culinary Life Skill, you need to collect or purchase the required materials for these crafts. Mineralogy is a Gathering Life Skill that works best with Smelting.
Alchemy
As an Alchemist, you can brew Serums and craft Drops that increase your stats temporarily, kind of like the Culinary Life Skill! These creations are useful for difficult boss fights, especially those that replenish your HP, as you can craft some pretty potent brews.
With Knowledge and Arcane potions, you can transfer Advancement Tomes and Sigils from different classes, which is a highly sought-after feature.
