“Nobody wants to have failure, but it’s part of life…” Freestyle Digital Media has unveiled the official trailer for Susan Feniger. Forked, described as a “Culinary Disaster film” about a famous chef. This doc first premiered in 2023 and it played at the Austin, Palm Springs, Vail, Newport Beach, Tallgrass, Sonoma, and other film festivals. It’s finally being released on VOD this fall for everyone to watch. “I didn’t know how it would all end and I definitely sometimes wished I could set my hair on fire,” said filmmaker Liz Lachman. “But then we wouldn’t have this film.” This documentary film follows chef Susan Feniger to Southeast Asia tasting street food, to build her first solo restaurant in LA. Featuring Wolfgang Puck, Bobby Flay, and Mary Sue Milliken, it’s an inspirational story of not IF one fails, but HOW. Shot by her longtime filmmaker partner, Susan Feniger. Forked is a verite documentary film following award-winning celebrity chef Susan Feniger on her first solo restaurant, her passionate struggle and quest to bring global street food under one roof in the form of a new LA restaurant: Street (which is no longer open).
