All of the feelings are safe…” Mubi has revealed their official trailer for a family drama series called Hal & Harper, the latest from indie filmmaker Cooper Raiff, following his two films Shithouse and Cha Cha Real Smooth. Hal & Harper premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival in their new Series section, and also played at the Tribeca Film Festival, despite not being a film (I know, I know, everyone is premiering series nowadays). Hal & Harper & Dad chart the evolution of their family… From Cooper Raiff comes Hal & Harper, an 8-episode series about siblings Hal and Harper, whose lifelong closeness is both their comfort and their curse. When their father announces he’s having a baby with his girlfriend, the two must confront their past & the codependent bond shaping their adult lives. With Lili Reinhart, Cooper Raiff, Mark Ruffalo as their Dad, Betty Gilpin as his new girlfriend, Alyah Chanelle Scott, Asher Alexander, Addison Timlin, and Havana Rose Liu.
