I’ve already gone over Gamezebo at the Tokyo Game Show 2025 and everything I saw. However, I’m here to tell you more about Gamezebo and Red Dune Games at the Tokyo Game Show, as well as one of the titles I got to play for myself.

Gamezebo and Red Dune Games at the Tokyo Game Show

I was lucky enough to book in with the team at Red Dune Games on the second business day at the Tokyo Game Show, and it was a lot of fun! They had multiple games on display, with some of them not even out yet. What really caught my attention was the booth for Nightmare Circus. If you’ve already read my TGS feature, you’ll know how much I love the circus aesthetic, so it only made sense that I was drawn to it.

Nightmare Circus

In Nightmare Circus, you play as a Puppeteer who is trapped in the Nightmare Realm. You go on an adventure to find your friends and escape the nightmare you are in. Along the way, you can collect items to help you.

My favourite was the puppet string that you could throw. With the right timing, you can wrap it around multiple enemies to bring them close so they bump into each other. This stuns them for a few seconds, allowing you to attack.

You can also aim the string at something, and it latches on. Then, you can leap forward, allowing you to cross different levels and terrains. There are tons more, such as the hook, the link, and the slingshot that you can use to help you navigate this eerie land.

I spoke to the co-founder and COO of the game, and he told me about the team and the game development. The team is only small, and you can tell how much love and care were put into Nightmare Circus. Just as I was mentioning my love for the art style, the artist herself walked past!

You can play the demo and save the game to your wishlist over on Steam.

Other Games From Red Dunes Games

Nightmare Circus isn’t the only game from Red Dunes Games. You may have also heard of Princess of the Water Lilies, an adorable puzzle adventure game featuring a frog and a cat. Explore magical lands, discover secrets, and solve mysteries.

Or, perhaps you know Blades of Mirage. This action RPG allows you to use the power of sand and water as you explore a vast land. There is also Zozo and the Lost Dreams, a platformer shooter where you battle enemies, discover surprises, and explore dreamscapes.

There are even more games that Red Dunes Games has, but I’ll allow you to discover them for yourself. You can find out more by visiting the Games Archive on the official website.

A big thank you to Red Dunes Games and the team of Nightmare Circus for having us!
