Dying Light: The Beast offers various rarities of armor equipment that reduce the incoming damage. It is crucial to have good armor pieces to survive through the difficult hordes of zombies. As you start, Kyle will have common gear pieces with gear armor value of 2. Best Early Game Armor Pieces to Get in Dying Light: The Beast
The best early game armor pieces that players can get are Heavy Vest and Heavy Trousers. Both of these armor pieces are Epic rarity and provide a gear armor value of 5. Moreover, both of these armor pieces are in the Old Town area, Level 1 zone of the map. Once players have completed the Safe Haven mission, they will be able to explore the Old Town freely while going to the Town Hall.
Heavy Vest (Epic Chestpiece) Location
The Heavy Vest is located at Station Sq. Apartment building in Old Town. Enter the apartment and go to the hallway on the left to reach a room with an open vent. Get inside the vent and go to its end to reach the higher floor. Now, go to the room at the end and jump through the pass-through window to enter the room.
Go to the table in the room to find the Heavy Vest Armor alongside Beginner Manual Pages (Rare Key Item) and Wristwatch (Rare valuable).
Heavy Trousers (Epic Joggers) Location
The Heavy Trousers is located at Library Sq. Apartment building in Old Town. It is closer to the Library Tower. Enter the apartment and go to the room on the right. Crouch through the pass-through window and go to the last room. Look to the left to see another lower pass-through window. Crouch through it and then enter the vent in the next room. Go up through the vent to the higher floor and make your way to the last room. The door will be locked, but you can get in through the pass-through window in the bathroom. Go to the table in the room and pick up the Heavy Trousers.
Equip the Armor Pieces from the Inventory
After acquiring the armor pieces, open the inventory and navigate to the gear on the right side. Select the corresponding gear slot to see all the available gear pieces and equip the ones you want. The Gear Armor Value increases, corresponding to the armor piece’s gear value, so if you equip the Heavy Vest and Heavy Trousers, your gear armor value will be 10. It will help you a lot in surviving through tougher fights and hordes.
