Hollow Knight: Silksong offers several useful tools to assist Hornet in fights throughout the adventure. Hornet can have up to two different tools at a time and use them simultaneously to get through difficult fights. The tools are denoted by the Red Slots of the crest. One of the best tools that players can get halfway through the 1st act is the Threefold Pin. It allows Hornet to shoot three knives at a time, which hit both ground and air enemies. How to Get the Threefold Pin Dash Tool in Hollow Knight: Silksong
The Threefold Pin Tool is located inside a cave above the Craw Lake in the Greymoor area. It is one of the mid-game areas in the game that players can access through the Far Fields area. If you continue to the right from the Deep Docks, you will reach the Far Fields. After that, you will have to get the Drifter’s Cloak to fly to the top and reach the Greymoor. Once there, head to the right to find Shakra.
TIP: Purchase the Map and Compass from Shakra to always locate your position. The enemies in the next room from Shakra drop rosaries upon defeat. Farm the enemies to farm Rosaries and purchase the maps and other useful tools.
Path to the Cave With the Threefold Pin Tool
From Shakra’s location in the Greymoor, head to the right to reach the Craw Lake. Climb to the top and go to the right to drop down to the lower platform. Open the gate by hitting the handle. From here, you need to head inside the building. Go inside and make your way through it to enter a room with a boss fight. You will have to fight several enemies. After surviving the fight, a balloon will come down. Pogo off the balloon to reach the top and then attack the handle. It will launch balloons all over the Craw Lake.
Now, backtrack to go outside the building and then go back to the top. Use the balloons to pogo off them and continue climbing up to the left side. Here, you will find another lever. Hit the lever to open a gate on the platform below. Drop and bounce off the balloon below to reach the platform. Now, continue ahead and climb up through the tunnel. After coming out of the tunnel, bounce on the balloon and go right to reach a platform. Take out the enemy ahead, and you will see a cave entrance. Go inside the cave to find the Threefold Pin tool hanging from a string. Interact with it to take the Threefold Pin tool.
NOTE: If you head up after coming out of the tunnel, you will enter a room above. Continue climbing up to reach a shrine. Bind at the shrine to get the Thread Storm Skill. You can also reach the cave after coming down from the shrine and get the Threefold Pin Tool.
How to Use the Threefold Pin Tool in Hollow Knight: Silksong
Press the RB/R1 button while positioning the LS upward to use the Threefold Pin Tool. It has a max capacity of 10 and uses shards to refill when resting on a bench. This tool is useful against both land and air enemies as it can hit both from any position. Moreover, using it after a few strikes will let you deal significantly more damage to bosses.
