Ranching 102 is the new Skill quest in Palia. It is the second quest for the new Ranching Skill, added with the recent Fall Fantasy: Of Barns and Briars update. The new update adds the Animal Husbandry feature, which allows players to take control of a ranch in which they can rear and raise different animals. It is a brand-new skill with its progression level and rewards. In this guide, we will walk you through the Ranching 102 quest in Palia.
How to Complete the Ranching 102 Quest in Palia
Starting the Quest
The Ranching 102 quest becomes available after completing the Ranching 101 quest for Delaila. After learning the basics of petting and feeding your animals, Delaila will tell you to see Nai’o. You can find Nai’o outside the ranch. Speak with Nai’o to initiate the Ranching 102 quest.
Meet Nai’o at the nursery pen
After speaking with Nai’o, go to the west side of the Ranch to reach the nursery pen. Speak with Nai’o, and he will give you brief information on breeding Peki chicks. Moreover, there will be a few notes at the nursery pen that you can read to get more information on breeding.
Breed two Pekis
To breed two Pekis, both of the Peki animals must be Adult. At the start, you will have one Adult Peki and one Young Adult Peki. You need to take care of and feed the Young Adult Peki to age it to an Adult. It will take some time and some caring.
TIP: If you complete the County Fair bundles at the Bulletin Board, you will receive Kilima Treat Bundles. One of the bundles gives you the Insta-Grow Cookie. It allows the animal to grow instantly without any wait.
Once both of your Peki animals have aged to the Adult stage, you will be able to breed them at the nursery pen. Interact with the station at the nursery pen and select the two Adult Pekis. Once done, press the associated key with the “Breed” action. This will give you a Baby Peki with a similar trait to their parents and a unique trait. Moreover, you will unlock the “Life Finds a Way” accomplishment. You will be able to name your Baby Peki as well as pet and feed it.
Return to Nai’o
After breeding two Pekis, go back to Nai’o. Speak with Nai’o and go through the dialogues to conclude the quest.
Rewards
Completing the Ranching 102 quest in Palia will increase the friendship with Nai’o as a reward.
