Illumination Announces ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ Arriving 2026

The Brothers are back! Universal Pictures + Illumination have just announced the official title for the next Super Mario Bros movie animated sequel – it will be called The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and arrives in theaters April 2026 around the world. This follow-up sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie from 2023 is a continuation of this story and these characters. But it sounds like they’re mixing things up just like the original video games. The first NES game was called Super Mario Bros. (1986) with two sequels – it wasn’t until 2007 that Nintendo released a game called Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie features the same co-directors from the first film back again. The voice actors include Chris Pratt as Mario again, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
