How to Increase Grow a Garden NPC Friendship – Unlock the Tier 2 Shop!

Grow a Garden NPC Friendship

When speaking to Sam, the NPC who stands at the Seed Shop stall, you may have noticed that there is now a second tier to unlock in the shop! With a padlock icon and ‘Feed NPC to unlock’ written next to it, how do you unlock this feature?

How to Unlock NPC Friendship

To unlock the NPC Friendship feature with Sam, you need to hand over any food that you have cooked to feed him. It doesn’t matter which food type you give him. As soon as you hand over a meal for him to eat, the NPC Friendship system unlocks!

How to Increase NPC Friendship

Once unlocked, you can see a Friendship Level meter which appears above Sam’s head. When you level up the Friendship with Sam to level 2, the Tier 2 Seed Shop unlocks. The higher the Friendship Level, the more items are on offer within the shop. You earn more Friendship Points when you give Sam food of a higher rarity.

How to Get Garden Coins

You can obtain Garden Coins by ascending your garden. Each ascension costs 1 trillion Sheckles and asks for a random crop! For every ascension, you earn 10 Garden Coins. Keep in mind that you can only ascend your garden once every 24 hours.
