Kate Hudson & Elisabeth Moss in Wellness Horror Film ‘Shell’ Trailer

“How you look determines who survives.” Paramount / Republic Pictures has unveiled an official trailer for a movie called Shell, described as a dark comedy horror film directed by Max Minghella (his second film after Teen Spirit). This premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and is being released soon on VOD in October this fall. Down on her luck actress Samantha Lake is invited into the ultra-glamorous world of Zoe Shannon, CEO of wellness company Shell. But when Shell patients begin to go missing, Samantha realizes Zoe may be protecting a monstrous secret. Of course they’re doing weird and terrible things! No surprise there. The film stars Elisabeth Moss, Kate Hudson, Arian Moayed, Este Haim, Elizabeth Berkley, Kaia Gerber, & many others. This just seems like another The Substance remix with a very similar setup.
