We’ve already gone over what we saw at Gamescom this year, but we also had the chance to chat to Yihan Lai of Neocraft.
We spoke about the booth they had set up at the show, Tree of Savior: NEO and the partnership between them and AppGallery.
Hi Yihan! Can you tell us a bit more about the booth you hosted at Gamescom 2025?
The game we proudly presented at our booth was Tree of Savior: NEO, a living open-world MMORPG from the former creator of the RO series. The game has already attracted over 5 million players since its launch a month and a half ago. Our latest news is that we’re planning a collaboration with a world-famous anime IP this November, so please stay tuned for that!
What kind of giveaways were held at the booth while it was open across the week?
We prepared 21 different types of giveaways, including plushies, canvas bags, 3-panel stands, fluffy badges, fridge magnets, wobble figures, pop-up stands, key chains, jerseys, and more. In total, we gave away over 3,000 units.
What was the response like from people who visited the booth?
We met a lot of our existing players, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that most of them—about 90%—were women, including several cosplayers from other booths! As for new visitors, they were first drawn in by the heartwarming hand-drawn art style and then amazed by the incredibly abundant gameplay content. It really feels like you can do anything in this world.
Can you tell us a little bit about the special event hosted at the booth on Saturday?
We were thrilled to welcome the well-known influencer Hyoga.x to our booth. We hosted a streamlined showcase that walked everyone through the most representative gameplay modes, from casual to hardcore. The most fun part was definitely “Fly Over Orchard Ridge”—it’s a bit like Mario Kart, but players can fully customize their characters before the race, so everyone looks unique. The most challenging part was the “Demon Trial – Bayeli,” where players had to learn the dungeon mechanics while fighting an intense battle against the boss.
How did the partnership between you and AppGallery for the booth come about?
We’ve had the privilege of working with AppGallery ever since our first game, Tales of Wind, was released seven years ago. Since then, we’ve continued to co-publish our next ten games on AppGallery, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership step by step going forward.
Do Neocraft have any more exciting event plans lined up for the months ahead?
A6: As I mentioned, our biggest upcoming event will be the collaboration between Tree of Savior: NEO and a world-class anime IP. Beyond that, we also have several DLCs planned for the game, such as a new Weather system.
Thanks again for Yihan for taking the time to answer our questions!
