The Type Soul Vow of Resurgence is a controversial choice, as its effect can both be a pro and a con. Another new Vow in Type Soul is the Vow of Sway, which you can learn more about in our other guide.
Type Soul Vow of Resurgence
Watch your HP stat.
What is the Vow of Resurgence?
While the Vow of Resurgence is active, all of your stats get a 5% debuff, and your Maximum Reiatsu is lower. Sounds a bit rubbish, right? Well, once your HP gets close to 0%, you revive, and all of your stats get a 15% buff.
However, even though your stats are now 15% stronger, your HP starts to slowly deplete. If your HP reaches 0%, you are defeated. It’s a case of whether or not the 15% buff is worth the HP depletion. If your character has a high HP stat, then you should be fine while using the Vow of Resurgence during combat.
How to Get the Vow of Resurgence
The obtainment method of the Vow of Resurgence is more or less the same as the other Vows. Vows are known to drop during Clan Wars, ranked matches, and other game modes such as Soul Wars and the Culling Games.
But, the one way of definitely getting a Vow is by fighting against the Bamboo Hat Man in Ring 3. Once you unlock Ring 3 in Hell, you eventually find the Maze. In this Maze, a creature appears on your screen that covers its eyes intermittently. With its eyes covered, you can move around freely. However, once it moves its hands, you need to cease all movement.
You must abide by these rules as you try to find the Bamboo Hat Man NPC. Upon speaking with him, you then engage in battle, and if you win, you obtain a random Vow. You have a 1 in 6 chance of getting the Vow of Resurgence with this method.
