Rumours have surfaced about the missing kids, and many are asking, Is there a 5th child in 99 Nights in the Forest? We’ll go through what we know and all of the theories around it.
Start playing 99 Nights in the Forest over on Roblox. To find out more about this theory, it’s worth learning about the 99 Nights in the Forest Deer and its importance.
Is There a 5th Child in 99 Nights in the Forest?
If you weren’t aware, the story of 99 Nights in the Forest is real, and it was inspired by a plane crash where 4 children had to survive for 40 days until rescue. That’s right, 4 children. However, many players have started to believe that there is another secret missing child.
In short, there isn’t. Not at the moment anyway. Once you find all four children and survive 99 nights, the game is complete. There are a few pieces of evidence that suggest there may be another child out there, or at least there may be another to find in a new update.
Evidence
Each time you save one of the missing children, a tent appears in your base. One for every child. However, there is a large gap between two of the tents. But there are no large gaps between the others.
This large gap has enough room for another tent. If you’re a developer, you wouldn’t forget to fill in this gap. The developers may have left it on purpose. The reason is possibly for another tent, linking to another missing child you will need to find one day.
The Deer
There is a lot of mystery surrounding the deer. In the story the game was based on, the mother of the children in the crash was with them, but later passed away, meaning the children had to survive alone until rescue.
The Cultists worship the Deer, and in their Stronghold is equipment used for research, such as beds with chains and a white room with one-way glass. Cultists are clearly smart, so what if the Cultists took the mother’s body and turned her into the Deer?
It’s a wild theory, but it makes sense. That’s why in the ending, we see the Deer reach out towards our camp. It also explains why the Deer is so hostile towards the player. Perhaps there isn’t a fifth Missing Child. But instead, a missing person, who happens to be the mother.
Maybe in future updates, it can be our job as the player to help the Deer and turn it back into a human? Some players also believe the gap between the tents is done by the children to honour their mother.
It’s also worth a reminder that in the game, you can have a total of 5 players. Exactly, 5. Clearly, the number has some significance.
