How to Save the Missing Children in 99 Nights in the Forest
For each child you save, the day counter increases by 1. As the map layout changes, there are no exact coordinates for each child. However, you can check the bulletin board near your camp, as it points you in the direction of each child.
Dino Kid
The first child you come across will likely be the Dino Kid. Despite the map changing for each playthrough, the location of the Dino Kid tends to be near the base. Your campfire will need to be at level 3 to unlock the area. He is guarded by wolves, so make sure you are prepared.
To defeat the wolves, it’s worth having a long-distance weapon, such as a rifle or Raygun from the Alien class. If you don’t, you can try your luck using a spear and getting closer, but make sure you have some bandages to help you revive. When you defeat them, you will obtain the red key to unlock the door.
Kraken Kid
Onto the second child you’ll likely save, the Kraken Kid. You’ll need to upgrade your campfire to level 4. When you do, you can find her near a playground surrounded by alpha wolves. Make sure you have a good weapon that can shoot from a distance, as you don’t want to get close to these.
When you defeat all of the wolves guarding the area, they will drop a blue key. Use this to unlock the door and save the child.
Squid Kid
To save the Squid Kid, your campfire needs to be at level 5. He is guarded by two bears, and while there are only two, they are vicious and deal more damage than wolves. Again, a powerful long-distance weapon is best, especially the Raygun.
After defeating them, you will get the yellow key, which you can use to save the Squid Kid.
Koala Kid
Last but not least, the Koala Kid. Your campfire needs to be at level 6 to save her. The Koala Kid is the hardest to save, as she is guarded by 6 bears. These are the strongest of them all, so it’s best you have a team to take them down rather than going alone. When you defeat them, they’ll drop the black key.
