It’s her latest feature following Night Movies, Certain Women, First Cow, and Showing Up just a few years ago. “A rebel without a cause.” In a sedate corner of Massachusetts circa 1970, JB Mooney, an unemployed carpenter turned amateur art thief, plans his first big heist. When things go haywire, his life unravels. Josh O’Connor stars as Mooney, a simple man who decides to steal some paintings from his local art museum, but ends up having to go on the run in this calm, quiet, contemplative art heist drama. Also starring Alain Haim, Gabby Hoffman, John Magaro, Hope Davis, and Bill Camp. This opens in theaters in October this fall after also playing at the New York Film Festival coming up soon.
