Dream On is the third main quest for the Inside Out Realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This quest will allow players to learn how to make an inspiring dream for Riley with the help of Joy. In this guide, we will walk you through the Dream On quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete the Dream On Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
The Dream On quest starts automatically by taking the elevator back to the Headquarters with Sadness at the end of the Out of the Blue quest. As players return to the Headquarters, they must speak with Joy to learn about how dreams are created.
Follow Joy to Dream Production Space
After speaking with Joy, follow her to the Dream Production space. Interact with the portal to teleport to the production space. Once there, speak with Joy again. She will tell you to organize the stage.
Decorate the stage and wear something Elegant
After speaking with Joy, go into the furniture mode and place three gold-trimmed furniture items on the stage. You need to select the furniture items from the platform on the left side of the stage. Place the following three gold-trimmed furniture items.

Plant
Fireplace
Once done, speak with Joy. She will tell you to wear something Elegant. Open the Wardrobe and navigate to the requests section to find all Elegant clothing items. Wear any 3 of the Elegant clothing items and speak with Joy again.
Sit down at the piano
Once you are ready, go to the piano and take a seat to begin the dream. After that, leave the Dream Production space and go back to the Headquarters. Speak with Joy, and she will give you the Remote Headquarters.
Place and build the Remote Headquarters in the Valley
Now, leave the Inside Out Realm and go back to the Valley. Go into the furniture mode and place the foundation of Remote Headquarters anywhere. Interact with Scrooge’s signboard and pay 10,000 Star Coins to build the Remote Headquarters.
Welcome Joy to the Valley
Upon building the Remote Headquarters, Joy will appear in front of the fountain in Plaza. Take a picture with Joy to welcome her to the Valley. Speak with her and she will tell you to gather a list of materials for the light stick.
Gather the colorful materials for the light stick
After speaking with Joy in the Valley, gather the following materials.
1x Topaz: Mine the mining nodes in the Plaza to find it.
1x Apple: Harvest it from the Apple Trees in the Plaza and the Forgotten Lands biomes.
1x Seaweed: Fish it out of the open water from anywhere in the Valley.
1x Blue Falling Penstemon: Forage from the ground in the Plaza.
1x Carrot: Purchase it from Goofy’s Stall in the Peaceful Meadow biome.
1x Onyx: Mine the mining nodes around the Valley to find it.
Upon gathering all of the materials, bring them to Joy. Go through the dialogues, and the Dream On quest will conclude. Moreover, the Get Up and Glow quest for Sadness will start immediately.
